It all started in Kalamazoo, we opened our doors in 2003 with the mission to provide the
best options for moped enthusiasts to find parts and maintain their mopeds.

1977 Mopeds was founded by Daniel Kastner, one of the co-founders of the Moped Army.

In 2006 Patrick Turner joined the team, and together Dan and Patrick own 1977 Mopeds.

We are located on the Kalamazoo Mall located in downtown Kalamazoo, Michigan.

1977 mopeds buys, sells, and trades new and vintage mopeds.

We carry new Tomos brand mopeds. Tomos USA has been in the US moped market since the 1970’s. They are the only real pedal moped being sold in the US. We prefer to sell them with pedals, but if you need us to, we can order you kickstart models.
