Warbux Mopeds, and 1977 Mopeds coowner Pat is heavily featured in this awesome moped centric video. Hollywood Holt is the shit.
This is a bit boring as videos go, but the Tomos mopeds are pretty cool.
It makes me want to race.
Adding to the hustle and bustle of the shop this week, having our good friend wrecked, it gets better.
When we got back from Cincinatti, we discovered the basement (our stock room) flooded. After two days of a cleanup crew cleaning up, they have managed to remove 1000 gallons of water. We now get to sort through to see what is salvagable. Shipping will be delayed slightly, but we are on it.
Amazing indeed.
1977 Mopeds head mechanic has had a terrible accident!
Saturday June 16th riding home from the Cincy Bomb prom, Glenn hit a patch of broken asphalt and lost control of his moped. Unluckily his jaw broke his fall. After being rushed to the hospital, and put on a respirator, he finally woke up. He is going to be ok, but it is going to be hard recovery. He is going to be down and not working for a minimum of 1 month. Glenn has no health insurance.
Glenn has been a very active member of the Moped Army for 8 years. He works as a moped mechanic, and is always helping people.
We are trying to raise money to help pay his bills. Please help a mopeder, and a fellow person out.
Contribute here.
Lets learn from this, and please please wear our helmets. With a helmet the most serious injuries are preventable.
To date there has not been much available for the A55 cylinder. During the next month we are going to go through and work with what’s available and see what we can do. Currently we have the Technogas Next and larger carbs. On a custom bike we built we got it going just a touch under 40 mph.
Stayed tuned while we work the kinks out and see what works best!!
